The Cisco MDS 9140 Multilayer Fabric Switches layer intelligent features onto a compact form factor to provide performance, high availability, security, scalability, ease of management and lower total cost of SAN ownership. MDS 9140 switches run Cisco SAN-OS software providing the same advanced features found on MDS 9500 series directors and MDS 9216 series fabric switches. This includes integrated management, an embedded Fabric Manager and integration with HP OpenView SAM and CiscoWorks RME.
